HEAVY LIFTING / HAMMERING
15-20 volunteers with muscle needed to lift heavy wall panels
and/or ability to work up high: walk on walls and install roof
sheathing. Some light work for about 6 people. |

Finish roof
sheathing
Install fascia
Install exterior doors
Install truss bracing
Build and install bird boxes

WEEKEND TWO
LADDER WORK / HAMMERING
12-15 volunteers work at ground level, 7-9 on ladders w/ siding high on
the house and 5-6 semi-skilled to do outside carpentry, fascia, & bird
boxes. TIP: Bring your own gloves. |

DAY 3

Saturday, September 27
Clean house
Install siding – start at back of house
Caulk top & bottom plates and panel joints
Install insulation
Install baffle boards, Deadwood
Install soffit (Ext)
Install blocking for drywall, cabinets, shelving
Clean up site |
DAY 4 – Sunday, September 28
Finish siding
Finish soffit
Caulk and paint fascia
Clean up site |

WEEKEND THREE
CARPENTRY / PAINTING /
LANDSCAPE PREP
15-20 semi-skilled volunteers to install doors, trim, cabinets and front
porch rail. 7-9 unskilled for cleanup, painting, landscape prep, etc.

DAY 5

Saturday, October 4
Install interior
doors, trim and baseboards
Set and fill nail hole
Caulk trim
Install kitchen cabinets and countertops
Install front porch rail
Interior paint – one prime and one finish coat
Finish siding and soffit, ¼ round
Clean up site |
DAY 6 – Sunday, October 5
Finish interior
paint
Paint exterior trim, caulk and silicone –
Distribute water heater, lights, plumbing fixtures
Install bathroom vanities
Finish front porch rail
Finish siding and soffitt
Clean up site |

WEEKEND FOUR
LANDSCAPING / FINISH WORK
Some heavy lifters to dig holes and do landscaping. The rest will
install mirrors, towel bars, paper holders, do final cleanup and punch
out. |

DAY 7

Saturday, October 11
Homeowner Walkthrough!!
Begin landscaping
Install towel bars, mirrors, paper rollers,
door knobs, and door stops
Build and install mailbox
Install closet shelving
Install door hardware
Wash, vacuum, clean fixtures and windows
Clean up site |
DAY 8 – Sunday, October 12
(usually only 15
or so volunteers needed this day)
Punch out interior
Finish Landscaping
Clean up house
